Corus

Corus in an international metal company which combines international expertise with local service. The headquarters are in London, with four divisions and operations worldwide. Corus has manufacturing operations in many countries with major plants located in the UK, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway and the USA. The company has a global network of sales offices and service centres. Corus shares are listed on the London, New York and Amsterdam stock exchanges.
In 2003 Corus had a turnover of ?8 billion and supplied 19 million tons of steel and 0.5 million tons of aluminium. At the end of 2003, Corus had 49,400 employees worldwide.

Corus was created in October 1999 through the merger of British Steel and Koninklijke Hoogovens.
